The Lytro camera only has two buttons, 'on/off' and the shutter button.
There’s no focus ring and no autofocus.  The camera offers a new technology that  takes every possible picture at once, ‘focusing’ on everything in a picture in one shutter-click.
When you look at Lytro pictures on a computer i phone or tablet  you can simply touch on anything in the photo to focus on it. It's an idea that could completely change photography.

Green sidewalk makes electricity -- one footstep at a time

In a mall in England they have replaced some of the tiles with recycled rubber.  The  one main difference between the old tiles is that these new ones, when stepped on they transfer kinetic energy into nearby appliances.  These slabs can store up to 3 days worth.  The mall that has them has lots of customers everyday enough to power half of its out door lighting.

CAN HOT AIR BE THE FREE FUEL OF THE FUTURE

                     An Australian entrepreneur Roger Davey wants to take advantage of that and plans to build a huge solar updraft tower, 2,600 feet tall, in the Arizona desert. As the hot air moves into the tower, it would turn 32 turbines, spinning them fast enough to create mechanical energy, which generators convert to electricity.  His company, EnviroMission, says that a tower like the one he plans on creating can create up to 200 megawatts of power, enough to power 100,000 homes. The company doesn't want to put anyone out of business that they just want to find a better energy source.

My Weekend 10/3

This weekend I went to my girl scout kick off at the civic center across the street.  It was themed camping and we had a fire, camp songs, s'mores, tents, sleeping bag/potato sack race, god's eyes, and sit apons.   I leaded the camp songs that I learned at my camp.  We switched off so I got to teach a variety of levels, from daisies juniors.  We ended with the squeeze and wish, were we hold hands and we pass a hand squeeze around a circle and we make a wish.
Saturday I did nothing except make my scarf, adding yellow and green and watched movies and SVU.
Sunday I had CCD.
I watched Tangled and when it ended I went outside finding my brother and his friends filming themselves catching a baby squirrel  which ended up dying last night :(.
